    breeze still carries the sound
    maybe i'll disappear
tracks will fade in the snow
    you won't find me here

    ice is starting to form
    ending what had begun
i am locked in my head
    with what i've done
i know you tried to rescue me
    didn't let anyone get in
left with a trace of all that was
and all that could have been

    please
    take this
    and run far away
    far away from me
    i am
    tainted
    the two of us
    were never meant to be
    all these
    pieces
    and promises and left behinds
    if only i could see
    in my
    nothing
    you meant everything
    everything to me
    gone fading everything
and all that could have been

    please
    take this
    and run far away
    far as you can see
    i am
    tainted
and happiness and peace of mind
    were never meant for me
    all these
    pieces
    and promises and left behinds
    if only i could see
    in my
    nothing
    you meant everything
    everything to me

Armadillos are… silly.

Posted by yunahalo on June 3, 2007

So, as most people probably don’t know, armadillo mommas ALWAYS have 4 armadillo babies. Every time. I swear. You always see the mommadillo crossing the road with 4 babydillos right behind her. It’s a well known fact. Yesterday I was actually carrying around a fishing net thingy in the yard looking for some poor, little mammal to capture. After like, 3 minutes, I gave up (stupid ADD). So anyways, I was walking across the yard when I saw it. One babydillo. OH EM GEE. Yeah, buuut… using my knowledge on the ‘dillos (and because I saw something else moving around), there had to be 3 more… and maaaybe an angry mommadillo around too. Would you know in the area of less than about 3 feet there where 4 babydillos? I was beyond shocked! I asked Tally to go get the net I had earlier, being I just threw it down in the yard like a 100 feet away. Tally took his sweet little time going to get it, geez, the little buggers could have ran away by the time he got back, but they were too busy rooting for worms, all together, as a family (but no momma, I guess they were really teenagerdillos). He brought the net back to me and I captured one. He wasn’t really that hard to get, but keeping him from freaking out was sort of a task. His siblings continued with there rooting, unaware one was missing. Tally went to get the camera, and once again took about 3 thousand years. We snapped a pic, and let him go. Now for the age old question, do armadillos really have furry tummies? The answer is yes, and their backs are furry as well. All in all, they are beyond precious to look at. One more thing, after we let him go (don’t worry, he caught up with his siblings rather quickly), Tally actually told me to wash my hands because of that whole ‘armadillos have leprosy’ urban legend. Yeah… so anyways, here is the little dillo we caught, and I dedicate this pic to Lee, as he has a fascination with these little creatures.

Thank you Sarah and Tally for capturing and photographing an armadillo for me!!! Could you capture a leprechaun next? You would get a pot of gold!

Sure, no prob, since they are both mythical creatures and all… We caught and photographed something else interesting too, I’ll post the pic in a second. 🙂
